La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Newport

The rooms are cozy and clean. The breakfast is hot + plenty. The pool + spa are 24 hours. The staff are friendly, and warm cookies are out in the lobby at check-in time. The elevator makes concerning sounds, but I didn't die. The curtains are thick, which is good because the views aren't special and there is some road/work noise in the morning. The windows don't open much, so you'll have to walk outside in the morning for that good coast smell. I saw many wonderful dogs, so it seems to be quite pet friendly. Overall, very happy with my stay.

Pete was absolutely amazing,that we re- scheduled for another weekend January 30th for my husband's birthday. Just like we did for mine . Jojo was absolutely amazing too the next morning very helpful. Giving them both 5 ⭐ all the way around. I had a complaint about the girl who was doing breakfast. Nyla and Wyatt they were talking horrible about the guest and how we are all slobs, making messes and cross-contaminating can't clean up after ourselves. Very unpleasant. Nyla didn't where any gloves while transferring food, eggs, sausage, and potatoes using her hands and spoon only, dealing with trash no gloves or No hand washing after handling food, dishes,trash ECT while training a new guy. The poor new guy was left to like figure it out on his own while nyla and Wyatt were flirting around horse playing and talking horrible about guests. Nyla had a horrible attitude, was very snotty. I went up to the front and Wyatt and JoJo were up there, I asked who I could talk too and make a complaint too. Wyatt immediately knew about why I wanted to make a complaint. He was trying to cover up for the girl. He said that was his girlfriend asking if he could take care of it himself, and asked me not to make a complaint. As nyla and him self were moving in a few weeks to Eugene Oregon so they won't be there anyways. I said no.... I want to talk to someone above him. Wyatt didn't like that and was very hesitant on giving me a phone number to call. I didn't trust him so I have not made a complaint yet over the phone not sure if he gave me the right number to call. Definitely don't recommend Wyatt or nyla giving them 0 ⭐. Pete and JoJo are what made us wanna come back. Thank you

Absolutely amazing staff! We made last minute reservations due to an awful experience at another hotel (next time yes i’ll google better, ) the staff quickly accommodated us and the room was perfect and breakfast was a bonus! Every time we left or reentered the building the front kf house staff would be warm and inviting! We will be back again soon due to this experience. They deserve all the praise

Clean, comfortable, good breakfast, nice pool/hot tub, very professional staff. Loved the stay! Also walkable to the aquarium and some other fun spots. Perfect for our stay. Also if you have a dog, dog friendly!

Overall, a comfortable stay. The room wasn’t 100% clean. There was some hair in the sink/shower area, and the room had a musky, damp, almost mildewy odor. It was more like they had been doing some mildew treatment but whatever they were using wasn’t completely covering the issue. Some door jam wear and tear. But the staff were kind, service was good. The pool area was fine for a family with kids on a budget. Breakfast was average, though there were plenty of options. For the price, I’d say it was right on. Affordable but nothing to write home about. We stayed 3 nights, did one day of sightseeing and one day at the aquarium. There were enough local attractions within driving and even walking distance to make the days worthwhile. Wouldn’t stay longer than that unless you plan on fishing or whale watching.

No complaints really other than the sofa was uncomfortable and the bed was not as bad. We did love the separate room from the main part of the room/bathroom. We made mental note for when the kids tag along and we can take, “naps .”

Great experience! Entire hotel is very clean, including our rooms. No bad smells, impressive for a pet friendly hotel. Great pool, great breakfast. It's the staff that truly deserve 5 stars! Pete and Melissa at the front desk are outstanding. There's something special going on here that you don't often find these days, it's genuine hospitality. Far exceeded my expectations, I'll certainly be back and highly recommend this location.

Just a quick getaway from Corvallis for a night. Got the room with a spa and it was awesome! The room was very spacious, water temp was hot and consistent for the spa tub which was super enjoyable, unlike other places we’ve stayed. A fire place next to the spa tub created an relaxing experience, we had a great time! Staff were friendly and just an overall nice atmosphere. Continental breakfast is always great to have at your stay and they have that too.
